Location: Longsight, Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am start with staggered finishes (latest 5:00pm)

Salary: Dependant upon experience starting at £100+ per day

About the Role:
We are seeking a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and nurturing team within a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). This is a full-time role supporting pupils who have experienced challenges in mainstream education and require additional social, emotional, and behavioural support.
You will work closely with teaching staff to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that helps each child reach their potential - academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies effectively using Team Teach techniques.
* Support pupils in developing positive relationships and emotional regulation.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and caring environment that promotes engagement and wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals within the PRU.

Requirements:
* Team Teach training (essential)
* Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
* Strong interpersonal and resilience skills
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
