Senior Repairs Officer
Full‑time (37 hours) – Permanent, Grade C1 – £34,434 to £37,280 per annum.
North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced professional to join the Property Services Repairs Team. The role is at the heart of a busy department handling day‑to‑day repairs, voids and maintenance critical to the Council’s obligation to provide safe, efficient, and welcoming homes.
Job Requirements
* Experience working within a repairs and maintenance service.
* HNC in building/housing related qualification or equivalent experience.
* Practical experience of damp and mould analysis.
* Experience and understanding of disrepair claims and Housing Ombudsman responsibilities.
* Knowledge of current legislation and upcoming regulatory changes pertinent to social housing.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a cross‑functional team of 5 people, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
* Manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs, contractual standards and health & safety requirements.
* Carry out inspections and analysis of properties with damp and mould issues.
* Handle customer complaints effectively, driving timely resolution and using feedback to improve service delivery.
* Analyse and report on performance data, providing technical insight and guidance to support safe and efficient operations.
