Leader Education is currently recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school based in Ashington, Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. About the Role: Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with a range of additional needs to access the curriculum. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities. Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their full potential. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Assist with classroom management and general administrative tasks. About You We’re looking for someone who is: Enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated to supporting young learners. Experienced working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential). Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff. Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn. Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate) are desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience and a genuine passion for education.
