Location: Blakelaw, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Hours: 2.5 hours per week term time, 4.5 hours per week school holidays (weekends included).
Pay: £13.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Assistance with toileting and hand washing.
* Support with eating.
* Support with dressing.
* Assistance with social activities and accessing the community.
* Assistance to engage with baking and some simple food recipes.
* Mobility and transport support – loading/unloading wheelchair in and out of vehicles or on public transport.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Driver advantage but not essential; must be able to navigate public transport systems with a wheelchair.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (if you are a driver).
* Physically fit – able to safely lift and handle a wheelchair.
* Experience working with children with physical disabilities.
* Ability to follow instructions carefully and work with sensitivity.
* Respectful of boundaries and personal space.
* Compassionate, bubbly, happy and outgoing.
* Good at taking initiative but comfortable being guided.
* Responsible with strong attention to detail and vigilant always.
