Our strong financial management underpins everything we do, and our Finance team plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality services for residents and communities.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Business, Education & Care Finance team as a Finance Assistant with a clear progression route linked to qualification status, experience and performance.</p><p>You will support the delivery of financial services undertaking financial support and clerical level tasks.</p><ul><li>Assisting in the preparation of financial information and advice to more senior finance staff for the efficient and effective delivery of Finance support services in line with prescribed deadlines.</li><li>Undertaking administrative tasks to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the service.</li><li>Support with the delivery of technical support and advice.</li></ul><p>You will work closely with other members of the Finance Team particularly Finance Officers and Accountants, who will manage your work programmes.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>We are looking for someone who is actively studying for AAT or willing to start their studying with us. In addition, who has:</p><ul><li>Three 9-4 GCSE passes including English Language and Maths.</li><li>Good interpersonal skills.</li><li>Good communication skills-oral and written.</li><li>A good level of numeric skills.</li><li>The ability to achieve deadlines.</li><li>Good ICT skills for reporting e.g. word processing and data manipulation e.g. Excel, financial systems.</li></ul><h3>Working Arrangements</h3><p>We are well established in a hybrid model of working, combining time at home with office attendance.
