Are you a Psychology graduate eager to make a real difference in children’s lives? New Directions Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Salford to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a background in Psychology.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology graduate who is passionate about child development, learning, and wellbeing. You’ll support pupils across the primary age range, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
2. Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
3. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning experiences.
4. Support children with additional needs, including those with social, emotional, or communication challenges.
5. Contribute to observations, progress reports, and learning plans.
About You
6. A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject (essential).
7. A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
8. Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
9. Some experience working with children (paid or voluntary) is desirable.
