Your Responsibilities
As our new Year 6 Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Prepare pupils for SATs assessments, ensuring they develop confidence and key skills in literacy and numeracy.
Support children’s critical thinking, problem-solving, and resilience as they transition to secondary school.
Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
Foster a growth mindset and create a classroom culture that encourages perseverance and academic success.
Work closely with parents, carers, and support staff to ensure all children reach their full potential.
Collaborate with the Upper Key Stage 2 team to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
What We’re Looking For
A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective SATs preparation strategies.
A motivational and structured approach to teaching and learning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils, and families.
A commitment to high-quality primary education and preparing pupils for secondary school.
