What an Assistant Manager Does You own the operation, working closely with the management team to deliver a best-in-class guest experience. You lead the hotel team, managing performance, absence and maintain standards. You manage guest expectations, problem solve, turn negatives into positives and use your experience to make sure complaints are dealt with effectively. You ensure our people are safe, proactively managing risk and ensuring compliance of Health and Safety policy and procedures. You develop both yourself and others, identifying talent and act as a mentor. You train your team, ensuring 100% completion of mandatory training. You make good decisions to manage profitability and maximise sales opportunities. You create a culture of high performance working by open and honest communication and effective feedback. What an Assistant Manager Looks Like You are a confident leader with a passion for hospitality. You will have experience in a supervisory or management role, either in hotels or a complimentary industry. You are organised and use time effectively to solve problems. You put our guests first and prioritise the guest experience over everything else. You are calm and positive, supporting the team to navigate peak times. You are a confident communicator, professional and authentic. You are hands on, supporting all the departments when needed. You are flexible, supporting a 24/7 operation.
