RES acts as the Operations Manager of TRIG.TRIG – the key clientThe Renewables Infrastructure Group is a £2.9bn FTSE-listed renewable energy fund with investments in onshore and offshore wind, solar and energy storage projects in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Spain. TRIG is co-managed by InfraRed Capital Partners within the Investment Manager role – who lead on project acquisitions and FTSE regulated activities – whilst RES as Operations Manager are focused on the development, construction and operational projects within the portfolio. Find out more at .AccountabilitiesThe chosen applicant will be part of a team which exclusively provides the role of TRIG’s Operations Manager.Responsibilities include:
1. Oversight of project performance.This includes:Developing relationships and working with site-focused asset managers;Analysis of operational and financial reports and data for key drivers of performance, risks and industry developmentsCommunication of key events to managementAnnual budget creation, oversight of contracts, financial distributionsUnderstanding commercial performance, risks and opportunitiesEnsuring good governance via understanding of safety performance, managing approvals, adhering to good practice processes and respecting sustainability considerations
2. Contributing to quarterly reports, with clear and concise explanations of technical, financial and commercial information;
3. Management of core team processes critical to the smooth running of the portfolio;
4. Providing support to the wider team, with exposure to and involvement in a variety of different projects, regions and technologies, and activities such as setting strategic direction, contract tender processes and negotiations, and implementing value enhancement opportunities.
The teamThis role sits in RES’ TRIG team, responsible for overseeing TRIG’s development, construction and operational portfolio. This team works closely with operations-focused departments in both RES and TRIG’s investment partners, in each of TRIG’s countries of operation. The team of approximately 15 people is based within the UK, primarily in Kings Langley and Glasgow within the wider RES business of 4,500 employees globally.MissionYou will be joining a team of diligent professionals who fervently believe in our mission to facilitate the energy transition for the good of us all.
