Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensure their physical, emotional and social needs are met
* Coach and guide the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals
* Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for residents
* Monitor work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin; responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home
* Oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans
* Provide clinical guidance to the care team and deliver best practice continually
* Experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained to a high clinical standard
* Confident offering clinical guidance for care teams and supporting CQC tasks
* Strong communication and reporting skills to handover clinical issues to other team members and health care professionals
* Night shift requires enhanced skills for patient safety, working alone with limited support; strong critical thinking, confidence, self-reliance and ability to manage care staff in emergencies
