As a CAD Draughtsman, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, accurate, and practical technical drawings to support the design, fabrication, and construction of structural steel projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure all drawing and nesting requirements are delivered efficiently and to the required standard.

Role & Responsibilities:
Promoting and adhering to the company's Integrated Management System and QHSE policies.
Supporting a safe working environment by applying safe practices and procedures.
Liaising with internal stakeholders (Project Engineers, Project Managers, Managing Director) on drawing requirements for live contracts.
Producing fabrication and construction drawings, material take-offs, and cutting lists.
Conducting drawing feasibility checks at various stages of each project.
Efficiently nesting structural components for RPC and CNC profile cutting machines.
Managing communication with clients and suppliers on design-related issues.
Responding to client queries alongside the Project Manager and Managing Director.
Ensuring all work complies with internal quality standards and procedures.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth handovers and understanding of technical requirements.
Confirming drawing approvals with clients before final release.
Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to wider business needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficient in CAD software relevant to structural steel and fabrication.
Experience using Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D modelling software).
Strong communication skills for liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Capable of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of nesting principles for CNC and profile cutting equipment.
Experience in structural steel or fabrication industry.
Familiarity with integrated plate databases and nesting software.
Working knowledge of QHSE regulations and Integrated Management Systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
