My client is looking for a Planner to join their team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in planning principles, excellent communication skills, and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of their projects in Cardiff and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
2. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
3. Liaise with clients, architects, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
4. Prepare planning reports, presentations, and documentation.
5. Monitor and review planning policies, regulations, and legislation.
6. Attend meetings, consultations, and public hearings as required.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
8. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or related field.
9. Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning or a related role.
10. Knowledge of UK planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
11. Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and planning software.
14. Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartered status is desirable but not essential.
