This role sits at the centre of building a modern, data‑driven manufacturing operation. We are seeking a forward‑thinking Senior SCADA Engineer to take ownership of plant‑wide automation systems, shaping how control, data, and smart factory technologies are designed, integrated, and scaled within a high‑performance battery manufacturing environment.
The Senior SCADA Engineer will:
* Leading the full lifecycle of SCADA and automation projects, from concept and budgeting through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover
* Designing robust SCADA architectures to support real‑time control, diagnostics, alarms, and plant‑wide visualisation
* Defining technical scopes of work for automation and SCADA suppliers, ensuring alignment with internal standards
* Coordinating closely with process, facilities, EHS, quality, and IT/OT teams to align automation with operational goals
* Leading and supporting internal SCADA/automation engineers and third‑party system integrators
* Delivering technical documentation, training, and ongoing support for operations and maintenance teams
The Senior SCADA Engineer will have:
* A degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering
* Proven experience leading SCADA and PLC system delivery across complex industrial or manufacturing environments
* Strong hands‑on experience with PLC platforms including Siemens (TIA Portal), Rockwell (Studio 5000), Beckhoff (TwinCAT), and/or Omron
* Advanced SCADA development experience using platforms such as Ignition, WinCC, AVEVA System Platform, or FactoryTalk
* Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols and system integration, including OPC UA, Modbus TCP, Profinet, MQTT, and BACnet
* Experience integrating Building Management Systems (BMS), MES, ERP, CMMS, and data analytics platforms
* A strong understanding of industrial cybersecurity, structured automation design, and the ability to lead projects, stakeholders, and third‑party integrators
