Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated gymnastics coach to join our not for profit team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of British Gymnastics Level 1 (all disciplines considered), a good sense of community and a commitment to educating young athletes in the art of gymnastics. However, this is not essential. This role involves working with gymnasts of various skill levels, fostering their development, and ensuring a safe and supportive training environment. There is potential for further training costs to be covered by the club, should the successful candidates wish to advance their skills.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed through out session delivery.
* Educate athletes on proper techniques, safety measures, and the importance of physical fitness.
* Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates gymnasts to achieve their personal best.
* Organise, assist within and potentially lead practice sessions, ensuring all activities are conducted safely.
* Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss athlete development and progress.
* Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and gymnastics trends.
Experience
* Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in gymnastics or related disciplines, is preferred.
* A strong sense of community, with a desire for accessibility and equality.
* Willingness to work collaboratively with other professionals and volunteers.
* A background in physical education or sports science is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, young adults and adults.
* A passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes, fostering their growth both in sport and personal development.
* The ideal candidates will hold a valid DBS, if not this will need to be discussed.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
