Principal People are currently recruiting for an Interim Health and Safety Manager in partnership with a leading specialist engineering contractor working on one of their prestigious projects in Berkshire. This is a site-based role on an initial 12-month contract with likelihood of extension working on a specialist installation project in the Nuclear sector. This role is to offer a day rate of £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35). Interim H&S Manager – 12 month contract – Construction/Nuclear – Berkshire Rate: £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35) Start: ASAP Key Responsibilities include: Operational site inspections, audits and observation of high risk activities Delivering overall Health and Safety support to the project team. Engage and build relationships with project stakeholders, client and contractors Produce detailed Health and Safety reports for senior management and client. Provide clear advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders of the project Attend relevant project meetings Reviewing of RAMS The Successful Site Health and Safety Manager will hold: NEBOSH Diploma level qualification minimum (Essential) Be a Chartered member of IOSH (Highly desirable) Have worked on a nuclear site (Highly desirable) or transferable sectors (Chemicals, Oil and Gas) Hold strong experience within complex, high risk construction projects Hold strong engagement capabilities able to communicate effectively at all levels.
