About the Role
The Sustainability Specialist is responsible for driving and implementing sustainable practices throughout our operations. You will develop and execute the sustainability strategy, aiming to reduce our environmental impact and contribute positively to communities. The role is ideally based at Audiotonix HQ in Chessington, Surrey.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a sustainability advocate across Audiotonix companies.
* Work with senior leadership to develop and implement ESG strategies with attainable goals aligned with industry best practices.
* Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including carbon emissions, waste, and energy use.
* Develop sustainable sourcing and procurement practices, ensuring compliance with ethical and environmental standards.
* Align ESG strategy with the UN 17 SDGs.
* Collaborate with product teams to promote sustainable product innovation.
* Monitor progress towards sustainability goals through forums and assessments.
* Develop training materials to foster a sustainability culture among employees.
* Research and recommend reporting frameworks like Science Based Targets.
* Manage data collection for emissions and energy reporting schemes.
* Stay informed on relevant regulations and certifications, ensuring compliance and seeking eco-labels.
* Build relationships with external sources to stay updated on sustainability trends.
* Contribute to drafting the annual ESG report.
Qualifications
* Degree in Sustainability, Environment, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and frameworks.
* Understanding of environmental regulations relevant to electronics.
* Experience in developing and executing sustainability strategies.
* Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks.
