Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading manufacturer of AGV’s seeking a field service engineer to work with clients across the UK. With a great benefits package and earning potential through overtime, this could be a good opportunity for either an experienced engineer working on AGV’s, or a forklift truck engineer looking to get into automation.
Responsibilities
Servicing a client base across the UK fixing automated guided vehicles (AGV’s)
Carrying out both routine preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
Installing & commissioning fleets of AGV’s
Working on other related automated equipment as an when required
Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when visiting customer sites
Conducting risk assessments and ensuring that projects are carried out to industry safety standardsRequirements
The company have a preference for an individual with a background in either AGV or forklift maintenance. Individuals with a background in forklifts must have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as well as experience of working in field. You must also have relevant qualifications such as an NVQ in vehicle maintenance, a degree in Automation Engineering or similar. It is also a requirement for the role that you hold a full, clean driver’s license. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Buckinghamshire or within reasonable commutable distance. There will be an expectation to travel nationally and stay overnight as and when required.
