Job Title: Shift Maintenance Technician\n\nLocation: (London) \n\nContract: ( offices)\n\nSalary: (£50K-£55K Per Annum) basic plus bags of overtime\n\nMy client are seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join their on-site engineering team operating on a continental shift pattern within a fast-paced, technically demanding commercial facility. This role requires hands-on responsibility for a wide range of electrical, mechanical, pressure systems, and low-voltage (LV) installations, ensuring the site operates to the highest levels of safety, compliance, and efficiency. You'll be part of a skilled shift team, providing 24/7 cover across key engineering systems, delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive support.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out PPM and reactive maintenance on all LV systems, including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, and control panels.\n\nPerform electrical fault-finding, testing, and isolations in accordance with BS7671 (18th Edition) and site standards.\n\nInspect and maintain UPS, emergency lighting, fire alarm panels, and BMS interfaces.\n\nSupport minor installation works and component upgrades.\n\nMaintain and repair pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, valves, and pipework systems.\n\nAssist with the operation and maintenance of boilers, cooling towers, and HVAC infrastructure.\n\nSupport water treatment tasks including chlorination, flushing, and temperature checks.\n\nCarry out routine pressure vessel and pressure system checks in line with PUWER and PSSR regulations.\n\nConduct regular plant checks and record logs on electrical panels, pressure systems, compressors, and mechanical assets.\n\nEnsure all works are completed in line with H&S, RAMS, and company permit-to-work systems.\n\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and asset records.\n\nAssist in emergency response procedures and critical plant failure recovery.\n\nRequirements:\n\nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)\n8th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (essential)\nExperience with PPM/reactive maintenance in a commercial or critical environment\nKnowledge of LV systems, mechanical plant, HVAC, and pressure systems\nAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills\nFamiliarity with building management systems (BMS) and CAFM systemsDesirable:\n\nCity & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection)\nSteam or pressure systems certificationRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
