Your next role
You’ll turn programme data into clear and reliable insight by developing dashboards, reporting frameworks and performance metrics, and producing timely reports on progress, risks, issues, benefits and dependencies. With experience in programme or performance reporting, you’ll bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail and confidence using Excel, Sharepoint and similar tools. You’ll validate data, track benefits and risks, support assurance reviews and provide clear commentary to inform decision-making. Methodical and collaborative, you’ll work accurately to deadlines and help refine PMO reporting tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design, development and maintenance of reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance metrics.
* Collect and validate data from projects and workstreams, ensuring quality, consistency and accuracy.
* Produce regular performance reports for programme governance forums, covering milestones, risks, issues, benefits and interdependencies.
* Track benefits realisation against agreed plans, highlighting gaps or risks to delivery.
* Maintain risk registers, issue logs and dependency trackers, escalating concerns where appropriate.
* Support assurance reviews and health checks by providing accurate data and evidence.
* Provide commentary and insight to explain performance trends, anomalies and risks.
* Assist in facilitating performance review meetings and workshops.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting refinements to reporting tools, processes and templates.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of working in a project, programme or reporting role in a complex environment.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies.
* Familiarity with reporting and data visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI).
* Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and governance frameworks.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, able to present information clearly to different audiences.
* Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
* Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
* Awareness of local government or wider public sector context is desirable.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
