Position: Senior Manager, Contracts
Location: Warminster – Warminster Training Centre, Imber Road, Warminster, BA12 0DJ, United Kingdom. The role will operate in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Commercial team. Ultimately the work is for the British Army.
Summary of Role: This high‑profile role involves managing all commercial aspects of active programmes within a multi‑functional team throughout the entire programme lifecycle, leading a Contracts team and delivering an effective, motivated group.
Main Duties
* Lead the commercial elements of small, medium and large contracts, including creation and management of teaming strategies.
* Develop and deliver the sub‑business area Commercial strategy.
* Manage contractual issues with clear risk and opportunity boundaries, interfacing with internal and external legal counsel.
* Influence stakeholders through cross‑functional communication and senior‑management briefing at executive levels.
* Create, review and negotiate complex contractual documents that align with business governance.
* Problem‑solve and manage dispute resolution.
* Customer relationship management, working within an ISO 44001 environment.
* Ensure corporate governance is understood and followed, including managing internal gating processes.
* Work‑force planning to meet bid and contract negotiation requirements.
* Lead new business activities within the sub‑business area.
Essential Qualifications
* Significant experience in a commercial or contracts role within a highly regulated industry, delivering services and products.
* Experience managing medium (£25m) and high (£200m+) value contracts.
* Experience dealing with customers from different global locations and cultures, including the UK Ministry of Defence.
* Understanding and ability to work within the Defence Reform Act requirements.
* Capability to deliver multiple types of agreements.
* Experience leading geographically dispersed teams with flexible working arrangements.
* Dispute‑resolution experience gained within long‑term agile contracts.
* Strong change‑management through contractual mechanisms.
* Well‑organised, self‑motivated, and capable of managing a team of professionals at varying skill levels.
* Eligibility for or current possession of a minimum security clearance of SC.
* Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR export controls.
