Job Description:
Join Rolls-Royce as a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities Acquisitions in Derby. Support and deliver new capital equipment projects, manage multiple projects concurrently, and work on machining, factory design, and layout support. Use your manufacturing engineering expertise and lean toolkit to manage equipment specifications, commissioning, SAT, and FAT testing. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on plant layouts and facilities, contributing to ongoing improvements in a highly regulated industry prioritizing safety and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities:
* Manage Capital Equipment and Facilities Projects from start to finish.
* Derive system and equipment requirements and produce technical specifications.
* Contribute to safety assessments and system justification.
* Develop, implement, validate, and improve capital equipment and tooling.
* Plan and manage project activities, assess risks, schedule resources, and control costs.
* Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Identify opportunities for process and project improvements using Six Sigma or Lean/CI tools.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience in manufacturing equipment acquisition, especially in regulated industries.
* Project engineering experience managing plant budgets, specifications, installation, and commissioning.
* Plant layout and facilities integration experience.
* Professional qualification (HNC/HND/foundation degree or equivalent).
* Lean manufacturing experience.
* MS Project proficiency.
