Job Description
A returning client of ours in the logistics/freight forwarding industry is looking for an Assistant Accountant/ Credit controller/General Accounts person to join their finance department. This role is fully office based, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (there is parking available off site)
Job Spec:
* Credit control experience
* Monitoring customer accounts
* Chasing payments and overdue invoices
* Maintaining and updating credit limits for customers
* Aged debtor reporting
* Payment/ receipt allocations
* Customer/ supplier account reconciliation
* Bank reconciliation
* Overhead invoices
* Journal postings
* Excel, vlookup, pivot tables
* Attention to detail
* Good communication, organisation, and time management
* Basic accounting principles
Key experience:
* At least 3 years plus experience within general accounts and credit control
* Experience from working in the freight forwarding or logistics industry
* Experienced in using Sage 50 or Boxtop is desirable.
* Strong bank reconciliations experience, overhead invoicing and journal postings is a must.
