Job Summary:
To manage and coordinate all aspects of each practice' functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, ensuring the practices achieve the long-term strategic objectives, as set by the partners, in a safe and effective working environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
The following are the core responsibilities of the practice manager. There may be on occasion a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The practice manager is responsible for:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practices, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities.
2. Functional management of all clinical and administrative staff across all three practices.
3. Direct line management of the following staff: Operations manager, Finance manager, ANP's, Salaried GPs.
4. In collaboration with the Operations Manager: producing agendas, papers, minutes, and oversee timescales & timelines on task allocation at the regular partners meetings and management executive meetings.
5. Managing the recruitment process for the practices.
6. Establishing, reviewing and regularly updating Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.
7. Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the partners.
8. Coordinating the reviewing and updating of all practice policies and procedures.
9. Coordinating and leading the compilation of practice reports and the practice development plan (PDP).
10. Intermittently reviewing the business resilience plans (BRP).
11. Liaising at external meetings as required.
12. Marketing the practices appropriately.
13. The producing of practice newsletters on a quarterly basis.
14. Managing all complaints effectively, along with the complaints partners.
15. Ensuring compliance with legislation and dealing with disciplinary issues accordingly.
16. Management of the premises, including health and safety aspects such as risk assessments and mandatory training.
17. Managing the practice IT systems, delegating staff to act as administrators.
18. Ensuring compliance with IT security and Information Governance.
19. Coordinating all projects within the practices.
20. Ensuring all staff have the appropriate level of training to enable them to carry out their individual roles and responsibilities effectively; delegating this as appropriate.
21. Ensure there is a well understood process for undertaking essential aspects of the practice manager role in their absence.
22. Awareness of financial operations, including payroll, in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
23. Ensure processes for timely submission of Monthly and Year End Returns.
24. Co-ordinate with the Finance manager to liaise with accountant.

Pay: £41,615.00-£50,702.00 per year
