Overview
Transport Supervisor - Restoration Hardware role at Wincanton. Based at our purpose-built shared user site in Harlow as part of the Home Delivery Network, storing and delivering furniture on behalf of Restoration Hardware (RH).
Salary: £39,000
Shift Pattern: Working 5 days per week, Monday – Saturday.
Location: Harlow
The Role
* Oversee the RH transport fleet and ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired when needed, and on a regular preventative maintenance schedule.
* Track vehicle telematics to monitor driver performance and identify any issues or training needs.
* Ensure the transport fleet meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Proactively manage and motivate the team and the shift, engaging colleagues to ensure the best performance.
* Encourage a culture of excellent customer service ‘right first time’ with the team.
* Manage the team to achieve targeted daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators and improve RH Net Promoter Score.
* Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and Health and Safety requirements.
* Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to throughout the operation, with a strong focus on health and safety.
* Ensure sufficient resource is available to meet performance expectations, including managing recruitment and agencies.
* Drive high levels of employee engagement through development of colleagues, regular 1-1 reviews, and involvement in site activities.
* Work closely with RH Shift Manager, RH Warehouse and RH Planning teams.
* Investigate performance, conduct, or capability issues and complete required actions in a timely manner.
* Make necessary alterations to the RH Transport plan and provide feedback to RH & Wincanton Planning team where required.
The Person
* Experience of managing large transportation fleets of 25+ vehicles.
* Successful track record of controlling fleet costs through data-driven decision making.
* Experience implementing transportation management systems for efficient fleet administration.
* Experienced Supervisor with a focus on delivering customer delight in a transport environment.
* Energetic, resilient, flexible and willing to go the extra mile.
* Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right-first-time approach.
* Good knowledge of Transport legislation.
* Experience of Kronos time management; Oracle is an advantage.
* Able to work shift work, including weekend working (required).
