Swalcliffe Park School provides specialist residential education and care for circa 70 secondary aged boys (10-19 yrs) all of whom are on the Autism Spectrum. We are currently seeking to employ highly motivated and professional Learning Support Assistants to join our established team. Duties include supporting Key Stage 3 and/or 4 students in a range of learning situations both in school and within the community.
Responsibilities
* Support Key Stage 3 and/or 4 students in various learning situations both in school and within the community.
Qualifications and Requirements
* GCSE level education (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics Grade 4 (formerly C) or above (essential).
* Experience or interest in: working within an educational setting or youth and community work environment (essential).
* Experience with students on the Autism Spectrum (desirable).
* For one of the Learning Support Assistant roles, a focus on providing classroom support in STEM subjects (desirable).
* A full driving licence and eligibility (at least 21 years of age and 2 years driving) to meet insurer’s requirements, and willingness to drive a school vehicle to transport students to community-based activities (essential).
