Advanced Specialist Pharmacist Team Leader
North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic, resilient, proactive, and forward-thinking leader to head our Enfield pharmacy service. This pivotal role supports the trust’s commitment to modernising pharmacy care, enhancing patient safety, and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred services.
In this role you will:
* Lead and inspire a dedicated pharmacy team.
* Influence service development aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan.
* Contribute to trust‑wide strategic initiatives that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
* Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Develop your leadership skills within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Associate Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Operations Lead Pharmacist in leading, developing, delivering, and evaluating pharmacy services and medicines optimisation.
* Being an active member of the Pharmacy team with allocated management responsibilities.
* Providing leadership, maintaining and improving standards of clinical pharmacy practice, quality assurance, risk management and other clinical governance issues related to medicines optimisation.
* Playing a leading role in delivering the Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
* Holding a trust‑wide leadership position for Medicines Optimisation in a defined specialist area of practice while maintaining a clinical commitment.
Who we’re looking for:
* Mid‑senior level pharmacology or pharmacy leadership experience.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Demonstrated ability to guide service improvement and support high standards of patient care.
