The Role
This Medical Editor role is a new addition to their team in recognition of the need for a more structured approach to quality control – You’ll have the opportunity to help build the new editorial process in this growing and developing team.
1. Edit a range of scientific medical content including educational and promotional copy across a range of therapeutic areas and asset types (e.g. digital, print)
2. Collaborate with the Medical Writers to ensure accuracy, clarity and reliability of materials
3. Ensure accurate data referencing and checks are performed
4. Contribute to the development and implementation of a new quality control process
You
5. You’ll be educated to degree level (min BSc but ideally MSc) in a relevant subject area, e.g. pharmacology, medicine, biomedical sciences
6. You will bring at least 3 years’ experience of editing within a Medical Communications agency – Including editing promotional and medication education materials along with digital assets (i.e. not solely publications)
7. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, editing and proofreading ability – able to enhance scientific integrity as well as flow, syntax, grammar and spelling
8. You will need strong understanding of ABPI guidelines
