Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Design and Technical Services, the Design Manager (Healthcare) will primarily be responsible for leading and managing the design aspect of healthcare projects to ensure that all design solutions fully comply with Employer’s Requirements, Contractor’s Proposals and meet the specific requirements of healthcare regulations, standards and the needs of patients and healthcare staff. This role will require strong collaboration with design consultants, healthcare professionals, internal teams and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to completion. In addition, the Design Manager (Healthcare) will assist in promoting the company’s healthcare capability in the UK and Ireland where it is delivering a growing portfolio of exciting healthcare projects. What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you'll be degree qualified (Architecture or Architectural Technology & Manager etc) with subsequent professional qualification (ARB / RIBA / CIAT etc). You'll have a minimum of 5 years experience working within a management position within construction design, with at least 3 of these being specifically across Healthcare projects. You'll have a proven track record in overseeing complex workloads from concept through to completion, and have a depth of knowledge regarding healthcare facility regulations, safety standards & infection control protocols (e.g., HTMs / HMNs). You will have strong design, technical and problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of design software (BIM / ArchiCAD / Revit) and construction methodologies.
