Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) as part of the Intelligence Hub, in a new role within the rapidly evolving and growing team. This role will be working on the Watchkeeper 24/7 team, looking at emerging and ongoing threats both nationally and internationally. The Intelligence Hub provides an open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability to Mitie and Mitie’s clients, identifying potential threats to clients’ employees and business operations and delivering timely, actionable threat intelligence to inform decision making and mitigation. The Hub also provides major incident communications support and bespoke digital investigation services in response to unique security requirements.
Responsibilities
* Proactively merge intelligence from disparate qualitative and quantitative sources and draw inferences based on client needs.
* Use OSINT to identify security threats to clients’ people and property and escalate as appropriate.
* Support the analytical work of the intelligence analyst team to produce a variety of intelligence products.
* Support major incident response of the department, communicating to all relevant stakeholders in a timely, accurate and concise manner.
* Maintain mass communications software and regularly update clients’ contact details and preferences.
* Use bulk data within Excel and other software to produce baseline security threat assessments for client assets.
* Conduct other research or duties as required by the Intelligence Operations Manager.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and company and client quality standards.
* Flexibility to work weekend and night shifts across an eight-week shift pattern.

Job Purpose
To deliver reliable, actionable intelligence concerning crime and security threats to the client in order to identify threats, vulnerabilities and risks, contributing to a safe and secure environment for staff and customers. Reports to Intelligence Hub Operations Management. Direct reports: None.
Scope and Key Accountabilities
* Provide the highest standards of intelligence collation, evaluation and analysis to influence key decision-makers and foster partnerships with law enforcement and other authorities as appropriate.
* Research from multiple sources and draw inferences to support client needs.
* Employ OSINT to identify threats to clients’ people and property, escalating as necessary.
* Support the analytical work of the intelligence analyst team to produce intelligence products.
* Contribute to major incident response communications to stakeholders.
* Maintain client contact databases and ensure timely updates to contact details and preferences.
* Coordinate with the Intelligence Operations Manager on additional duties as required.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and quality standards.
Key Skills and Experience
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms and internet-based research.
* Ability to research multiple online sources and collate large pieces of security-specific information.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills and professional engagement with colleagues, clients and senior management.
* Experience of working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and bespoke software; intermediate Excel skills with a desire to develop further.
* Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* A positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and a willingness to learn and develop.
* Ability to work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service to the client.

* Experience working in an intelligence environment.

* Degree educated or equivalent.
