Candidate required: Project Manager / Project Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Start date : ASAP Industry: Construction Professionals South Location: New Forest The role & about the client: We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager / Project Surveyor to join our growing team in our clients brand-new New Forest office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with high standards, strong technical ability, and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, coordinating and overseeing all project stages Managing building contracts, ensuring full compliance and issuing necessary notices (payments, delays, instructions, etc.) Monitoring performance to ensure projects meet specification, programme, budget and quality targets Procuring and appointing contractors and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships Ensuring health & safety compliance across all sites Reviewing costs, valuations and issuing variations and contract instructions Preparing tender documentation, evaluating returns and reporting Attending site meetings and providing clients with clear updates on progress and costs Supporting cost planning and value engineering activities The ideal candidate will have Proven experience managing construction projects (residential, commercial or education preferred) Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Solid understanding of CDM, Building Regulations and construction processes Excellent client-facing and communication skills MRICS qualification preferred but not essential We welcome applicants from a range of professional backgrounds, including Quantity Surveyors, Project Surveyors, Contract Managers and Project Managers.
