Quality Laboratory Analyst Role
The quality team exists to deliver effective and efficient support services to Montrose site. The Quality Laboratory team manages operational quality laboratory activities for the Montrose site in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The purpose of the quality analyst role is to:
1. Ensure that day-to-day and routine analysis are completed effectively and timely.
2. Interface with other parts of the quality directorate to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of products from the site.
3. Support interfaces with other departments to ensure effectiveness for all parties.
4. Ensure significant quality or compliance issues are escalated through appropriate management lines and processes.
5. Utilize performance management to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out routine analysis on IPC, raw materials, manufactured, and stability samples using classical and chromatographic techniques, including the use of M-ERP and other IT systems for data management and reporting.
2. Providing analytical services for non-routine samples and assisting in troubleshooting production issues.
3. Living the company's values by maintaining integrity, a positive attitude, and working collaboratively across boundaries to optimize efficiencies and reduce waste.
4. Participating in activities essential for the effective operation of the quality laboratory, such as reviewing and preparing procedures (e.g., LSOPs), validation reviews, COSHH and risk assessments, and GPS improvement activities.
5. Adhering to current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP) in a highly regulated environment, following defined procedures.
6. Engaging in various audit activities, including GMP, 5S, and self-inspection audits.
7. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using GPS tools and the 'value for every pound' principle.
8. Contributing to staff capability building through training and acquiring new techniques.
9. Working safely and compliantly, supporting processes to ensure safe, compliant laboratory operations.
10. Meeting site strategy requirements, including ZIPs, ZAPs, and maintaining no overdue quality metrics.
11. Managing deviations, change management, and improvement actions professionally and promptly.
12. Supporting other analyses at Montrose site as directed by the Quality Laboratory Leader.
Qualifications and Experience: Previous employment in a Quality Control lab or equivalent, with competency in a range of analytical techniques such as chromatography and classical tests.
