We’re now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and play a key role in building and evolving high-quality, cloud-native solutions used daily by our customers. ?? About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll do more than write great code — you’ll help shape how we build software. You’ll work closely with engineers, product and design teams to deliver scalable, reliable and high-performing systems that enable hundreds of vehicle valuations and transactions every day. You’ll influence technical direction, champion best practice and take pride in quality across everything you deliver. This is a role for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, mentoring others and solving real-world problems at scale. ?? What You’ll Be Doing Designing, building and maintaining cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices Writing clean, maintainable and efficient code aligned to in-house standards Developing solutions using .NET, Azure, React and SQL Server Reviewing technical designs and code, helping to raise the bar across the team Championing CI/CD, test automation and “shift-left” principles Identifying and resolving performance, scalability and security challenges Collaborating in Agile / product-driven teams, adapting to evolving customer needs Producing clear technical documentation and contributing to knowledge sharing across Cox Automotive Supporting and mentoring fellow engineers ? What We’re Looking For You’re a strong software engineer who cares about quality, collaboration and continuous improvement. Key experience: Solid commercial experience with C# and .NET (ideally .NET 8 / C# 14) Experience building and running cloud-based applications, ideally in Azure Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework and RESTful APIs Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions ideal) Good understanding of unit testing and modern testing approaches Front-end experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and ideally React Awareness of mobile app design and/or React Native is a bonus What sets you apart: Comfortable influencing technical decisions and ways of working Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Naturally focused on delivering value and reducing risk Happy working across multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment ??
