Making a difference at St Helens as a Newly Qualified Social Worker Joining us as a Newly Qualified Social Worker means you will provide expertise commensurate with your role, experience and grade acting as invaluable resource to the team and department working in a diverse, challenging and rewarding environment. You will have a protected caseload for 2 years and will receive additional support from our ASYE co-ordinator. The dedication, professionalism and strength of our Children's workforce is demonstrated every day and we are always interested in hearing from Newly Qualified social workers who share our commitment and values and would be interested in joining us in one of the following teams: Children We Look After Adoption Duty Team Children with Disabilities Family Help & Protection What You’ll Bring: Knowledge and understanding of the 1989 Children Act, the 2004 Act and other relevant legislation and statutory guidance Knowledge of the Framework for Assessment of Children in Need and their families and an understanding of its application. Experience of assessing needs, setting tasks, producing care plans and reviewing those plans. Experience of working with families in need of support or in crisis CQSW, CSS, Dip SW or Social Work Degree Degree Registered Qualified Social Worker with the Social Work England, or will apply for registration before taking up the post.
