About The Role
Bristow Holland Ltd is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join its expanding security team based in Felixstowe. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a balanced combination of remote work and office presence, with 50% of the time spent working from home and 50% in the office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment, gaining hands‑on experience across various facets of cybersecurity, including security operations, governance, and compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
This position is ideally suited for individuals early in their cybersecurity careers who are eager to learn and grow within a business‑focused environment. The role provides exposure to a broad spectrum of cybersecurity activities, enabling the candidate to build a comprehensive understanding of IT security practices and principles.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year of experience in Cyber Security or IT Security roles
* A degree in a relevant IT or Cyber Security discipline
* Relevant cybersecurity training or certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
Additionally, candidates should have a strong interest in cyber security and IT infrastructure, with a basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls. Good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and an analytical mindset with strong attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Support the day‑to‑day operations of IT and cybersecurity functions within the organization
* Assist in monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents promptly and effectively
* Help maintain and enhance network and system security controls to safeguard organizational assets
* Participate in activities related to Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards
* Assist with internal and external security audits, providing necessary documentation and support
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation
* Collaborate closely with IT and infrastructure teams to identify vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture
* Gain exposure to vulnerability management processes and conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats
