Static Air Conditioning Engineer – FM Service Provider – East Croydon – Up to £54,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established building services company at a commercial site in East Croydon, comprising approximately 200,000 sq ft of Grade A, modern office space.
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Static Air Conditioning Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a commercial contract in East Croydon. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
You will be working as part of a team of 3 engineers, operating solely on the landlord side of the building, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all HVAC systems.
This position is ideal for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer seeking stability and long-term career progression within a reputable organisation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant
* Working on split systems, VRVs, VRFs, VAVs, AHUs, FCUs, and chillers
* Fault finding and diagnostics on AC and refrigeration systems
* Carry out filter changes, belt replacements, and general plant servicing
* Checking and maintaining condensers and evaporators
* Monitoring system pressures, temperatures, and overall system performance
* Carry out leak detection and basic repairs in line with F-Gas regulations
* Assist with minor installations and system upgrades where required
* Support seasonal plant changeovers (heating / cooling)
* Liaising with specialist subcontractors when required
* Ensure all statutory compliance checks related to HVAC equipment are completed
* Maintain accurate site records, logbooks, and maintenance reports
* Provide a professional, client-facing service
Hours of Work & Package
* Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm
* Salary up to £54,000 per annum
* 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
* Overtime available
* Tablet and work phone provided
* Full company uniform
* No Call out
Requirements
* City & Guilds Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (Essential)
* City & Guilds Level 3 (Desirable)
* F-Gas Qualification (Essential)
* Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
* Strong HVAC knowledge
* Multi-skilled with basic electrical knowledge desirable
* Good communication and client-facing skills
* Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
