What you’ll be doing:
6. Providing accurate and efficient typing, secretarial and admin support to fee earners
7. Preparing legal documents and correspondence – including Wills, Codicils, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts
8. Managing digital dictation and case management systems, keeping electronic files organised and up to date
9. Assisting with file opening, client care letters, compliance checks, archiving, and billing
10. Booking appointments, managing diaries, and handling incoming and outgoing mail
11. Liaising with clients both over the phone and in person – always with a friendly and professional approach
12. Retrieving and storing important original documents and maintaining strong room procedures
13. Supporting estate administration, including Land Registry forms and document preparation
What they’re looking for:
14. Experience working as a Legal Secretary (ideally in private client, though other areas are welcome too)
15. A strong grasp of legal admin and digital systems (Microsoft Office, dictation tools, case management etc.)
16. Excellent attention to detail – especially when typing and preparing legal documents
17. Someone calm under pressure, who works well both independently and as part of a team
18. A friendly, professional attitude and the ability to speak to clients with empathy and discretion
19. Willingness to get involved, learn new skills, and support the wider team as needed
