An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse to join the Sexual Health service.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care with input to the setting of standards of care within the department. The Sexual health service provides routine and complex contraception, routine and symptomatic testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV care, Pre and Post Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP and PEP) as well as general advice and support.
Responsibilities
* Assess care needs and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care with input to setting standards of care within the department.
* Provide routine and complex contraception, routine and symptomatic testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV care, PrEP and PEP, and general advice and support.
Qualifications
* Sexual and Reproductive Health Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent, or be prepared to complete this.
* Relevant experience of working in Sexual Health.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required for this post.
Location
This post is based within the Sexual Health Department with clinics in FCH, SCH and CCHC.
