Slone Partners seeks a Director of Business Development, Boston, for a cutting-edge, rapidly growing biotech company focused on delivering multi-omics services to accelerate drug development and transform personalized medicine. Combining state-of-the-art mass spectrometry technology with advanced biocomputational services and multifaceted human health data, they enable biomarker discovery and novel target identification at unprecedented speed and scale to provide a deeper understanding of human biology and effectively align biological targets, patients, and drug therapies. Reporting to the VP of BD, the Boston Director of BD is responsible for managing growth and development of new business while building customer relationships and providing strategic direction to help grow revenue and profit for the organization.
The ideal candidate must reside in the Boston and surrounding area to ensure proximity to key clients and with the ability to travel across Massachusetts. They will have 2+ years of BD/sales experience with a rolodex calling into the pharmaceutical/biotech industries, with a strong preference for those with experience and familiarity within proteomics/omics and/or selling CRO services. They will have a proven track record of successfully selling services or proteomics/omics products with demonstrated ability in hunting, closing new business, and understanding the sales flow and process from prospecting to close. A strategic mindset is essential, along with the ability to break down goals and objectives to drive successful outcomes. Candidates should possess excellent listening, presentation, and networking skills, as well as strong interpersonal abilities to foster effective internal and external collaboration. Self-motivation, a results-driven approach, and a demonstrated history of exceeding performance expectations are key.
