Job Title: Cover Supervisor

A well-established mainstream secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain valuable experience within a school setting or build on existing classroom experience in a supportive environment.
The Role:
* Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students across a range of subjects
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
* Support the smooth running of the school day by maintaining a positive learning environment
* Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff members as required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with young people in an educational setting (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
* Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be organised, reliable, and adaptable
* Be able to follow instructions and work independently
* Have a calm and professional approach to behaviour management
