The Information Manager - Systems Integration will work in our Leatherhead office. This role is responsible for the setup, management and operation of interfaces between engineering applications such as SMARTPLANT and AVEVA authoring tools, engineering databases and Digital Twin technology. The role ensures that data is correctly shared, consistent, accurate and that data repositories are maintained and administered. It involves receiving or performing data transfers, managing changes, generating reports and ensuring the effective exchange and handover of a complete dataset to the client for the operations phase.
Responsibilities
* Plan, direct, co‑ordinate and be the focal point for data management systems integration.
* Facilitate the set‑up and configuration of data repositories to meet project requirements.
* Understand corporate and project requirements for data collection, conditioning, reporting and handover.
* Maintain working knowledge and expertise in AVEVA and Hexagon toolsets, including configuration of data entry tables, grids, data access controls, and data import, export, transform and load processes.
* Provide class‑library administration support to define and configure class libraries, including tag format, list of values and unit of measure.
* Manage transfer of class‑library data into engineering databases and Digital Twin environments.
* Understand and implement complex regular expressions as required.
* Ensure compliance with data standards and establish project reports, summaries and business‑intelligence dashboards.
* Coordinate with project disciplines to resolve data inconsistencies, errors or mapping issues associated with interfaces.
Experience, Education & Skills
* University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience.
* Relevant years of experience in an engineering data systems role.
* Experience managing engineering data warehouses such as AVEVA Engineering, SMARTPLANT Foundation or similar.
* Experience managing engineering class libraries using AVEVA Information Standards Manager or similar.
* Excellent working knowledge of databases and reporting.
* Technical background in Oracle 12c, PL/SQL, ETL and data warehousing.
* Expertise writing and optimizing Oracle/SQL stored procedures and query performance.
* Automation of processes using scripting languages such as PowerShell and CMD.
* Strong design and system architecture skills—designing and implementing business logic and reports as SQL within stored procedures.
* Self‑sufficient and creative in defining reporting and data solutions.
* Strong background with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).
* Knowledge of AVEVA Net, AIM and Engage or similar.
