Are you a hands-on, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in a fast-paced production environment? We're recruiting for a leading UK food manufacturer that prides itself on quality. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering team at a modern site producing premium food products for major retailers across the UK.
The Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the site's engineering department. You'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, minimising downtime and supporting production performance.
Duties include:
- Performing PPMs and attending breakdowns to keep production running efficiently
Electrical fault finding on PLCs, inverters and control circuits
- Maintenance of high speed food processing and packaging machinery.
- Identifying opportunities for process and performance improvements
- Working safely and professionally, supporting continuous improvement and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- A time-served, multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Relevant qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or food production setting
- Confident in electrical diagnostics and fault finding
- A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to health & safety, quality and continuous improvement
