New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a pool of Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work within Bradford Special Educational Needs settings. We are looking for dedicated, passionate individuals to support students with a variety of needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the educational experience of pupils with SEN.
We want to hear from you if you have:
1. A good understanding of trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic behaviour support.
2. Training in Team-Teach or other recognised behaviour intervention methods.
3. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting can be incredibly rewarding, but it also requires flexibility, patience, and a compassionate approach. Your role will involve working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to deliver high-quality, tailored education for pupils with varying needs.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Support the planning, delivery, and assessment of individualised learning activities for pupils with SEN, adapting materials and strategies as required.
6. Work alongside class teachers to deliver differentiated learning, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
7. Deliver small group interventions under the direction of SENCOs and phase leaders.
8. Assist in the development and monitoring of EHCP outcomes, contributing to reviews and meetings.
9. Provide cover for whole classes in the short-term absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and supported.
10. Offer guidance and support to other teaching assistants, ensuring consistency across the setting.
11. Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reporting and assessment processes.
