Water Treatment / Equipment Engineer
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary and Benefits: £28k - £45k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a privately‑owned Water Treatment / Water Hygiene company with a strong presence in Yorkshire and the North of England. They seek a hardworking, multi‑skilled engineer who can hit the ground running and work self‑sufficiently on site. A good commute via the M62 is preferred.
Ideally, applicants will be located in / around: Bradford, Leeds, Morley, Dewsbury, Halifax, Huddersfield, Brighouse, Doncaster, Wakefield, Sheffield, Pontefract, Normanton, Castleford, Garforth, Wetherby, Knaresborough, Harrogate, Barnsley, Rotherham, Holmfirth, Goole, Thorne, Selby, Otley, Ilkley, Conisbrough, Mexborough, Dronfield, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Manchester.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong experience as a Water Treatment / Equipment Engineer
* Working knowledge of HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
* NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (ideally)
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
* Ability to meet and exceed personal targets
* Flexibility to travel in line with company needs
Responsibilities
* Install and commission Water Treatment equipment components such as UV filtration systems, reverse osmosis, CLO2 units and water softeners
* Perform routine servicing and maintenance on existing systems and components
* Identify system faults and recommend repairs
* Descale calorifiers
* Conduct closed system testing
* Clean and disinfect cold water storage tanks
* Replace RPZ valves
* Modify and replace pipework
* Produce regular service reports
* Adhere to agreed deadlines and project scope
* Order required parts and materials for works
* Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
* Work across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial and public sector sites
