Being part of our dedicated Bluebird Care Carlisle team is immensely rewarding, but it also demands commitment and professionalism. Working with some of the most vulnerable members of society can give enormous satisfaction to the right person.

We offer flexible full-time and part-time hours right across the day from 7am until 10pm.
Excellent hourly rates - £13.00 per hour with a mileage allowance of 30p per mile.
You will be travelling between customers so you must have a Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle which must be insured for business use.

We ensure that our care experts are fully prepared to deliver the highest quality support through our comprehensive induction training programme which includes online training modules and 3 full days face to face training with our experienced training team in our Bluebird Care Training Academy. You will be paid for all induction training and all ongoing mandatory refresher training including online training. You will then be supported by our dedicated office support team as you go out into the community to meet our valued customers shadowing our fully trained experienced care experts. This support continues right through your 3-month probationary period and beyond.

We will fully support you through your Care Certificate if you don't already have this qualification, which is mandatory for all health and social care workers in England who don't have other qualifications.

The Bluebird Care Training Academy offers training and development opportunities in nationally recognised qualifications such as NVQ levels, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Bluebird Care Carlisle is able to offer career progression opportunities to carers who show commitment and demonstrate excellence.

We have on site parking for your convenience when attending the office.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance with daily household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
-Assisting customers with mobility issues
- Preparing meals and assisting with meal planning
- Running errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions
- Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing and dressing
- Providing companionship and engage in conversation with the customer
- Administering medication
- Accompanying the customer to appointments or social outings
Experience:
- Previous experience as a home assistant or in a similar role is an advantage but not necessary
- Knowledge of basic household cleaning techniques and practices
- Familiarity with meal preparation and cooking
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage in conversation
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards customers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect customer privacy
