Administrative Officer
Salary: up to £24,300 per annum (pro rata)
Location: North and Outer West Newcastle
Contract/Hours: Fixed Term, Part Time – 21 hours per week (31st March 2027)

A bit about the role
As Administrative Officer, you'll keep our teams running smoothly, providing essential admin, reception, financial, and meeting support. No two days are the same, you'll manage records, process invoices, coordinate meetings, and help improve systems so our teams can focus on supporting children and young people.
You're organised, proactive approach will make a real difference, ensuring everything runs efficiently and effectively. You'll work both independently and as part of a supportive team across different locations in North and Outer West Newcastle.
How you could make a difference
You'll be the person making sure our services run as smoothly as possible. This role comes with a lot of responsibility and a lot of job satisfaction too. We need you to:
* Provide a professional, welcoming front of house service.
* Organise and manage meetings, including minuting.
* Prepare and distribute documents.
* Support managers and colleagues in dealing with correspondence.
* Maintain information management systems and help to improve the way we collect, extract and present data.
* Keep up-to-date, accurate financial records like purchase orders and invoice payments.
Let's talk about you
You're a compassionate, ambitious and skilled administrator. Experience within a social care or health setting is useful, but we're very open to transferable experience. You'll also have:
* Business Administration S/NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent qualification or work experience.
* Good IT literacy, including the ability to create spreadsheets and presentations.
* Experience of providing a confidential, professional administration service.
* Experience of liaising with external stakeholders to co-ordinate key activities.
* The ability to work well within a team environment, and direct others when required.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others.
