About Our Client

This fixed-term position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in payroll and pensions processes within the HR department. The team are going through a system transformation and looking for an experienced payroller to support them alongside the delivery of the project.

Job Description

3. End to end processing of payroll, pensions, and benefits data across multiple payrolls
4. Administration of LGPS pension scheme and personal company pension
5. Processing starters, leavers, variations, mileage, holiday trading and other contractual changes
6. Ensuring payroll runs are fully checked, reconciled, and compliant before sign off
7. Resolving payroll, pension, and benefits queries accurately and efficiently
8. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
9. Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant stakeholders as required.
10. Support audits related to payroll processes.
11. Supporting year end processes and statutory returns in collaboration with Finance
12. Supporting system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll & Pension Officer should have:

13. Proven experience in end to end payroll administration for monthly paid employees
14. Processing of company benefits
15. Pension processing, LGPS desirable
16. Excellent use of payroll and HR integrated systems
17. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and stakeholders.
18. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
