SEN Teaching Assistant (SENTA) - Specialist SEN Settings (Sheffield)

Are you a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in Sheffield? We are currently recruiting SENTAs to work across a number of specialist SEN provisions supporting both primary and secondary-aged pupils.
These are hands-on roles suited to someone who is calm under pressure, confident supporting behaviour, and genuinely passionate about helping young people succeed.
You will be working closely with teaching and pastoral teams to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs (SEBN / SEMH)
Your role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, promoting positive routines, and contributing to a safe and structured environment.
To be successful in this role, you should:
Have previous experience in an SEN school or similar setting
Be a strong and consistent behaviour manager
Be available 5 days per week (Monday-Friday)
Be reliable, resilient, and able to build trust with pupils quickly
Be confident supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviourTeam Teach training is highly desirable, although not essential.
A formal TA qualification is not required for these positions - experience and the right approach are what matter most.Roles are available immediately, and we can also accommodate notice periods for the right candidates.
