Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Primary Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in the Leeds or Wakefield area? What you’ll be doing…
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll work closely with children who need extra support- whether that’s in a one-to-one role, within small groups, or a in a classroom setting. Your patience, positivity and adaptability will help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or SEMH
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
* Provide high quality pastoral support and help manage classroom behaviour
* Help create a calm, structured learning environment
* Encourage independence and build pupil’s confidence
* Monitor progress and celebrate small wins every day
