The role

As the Talent Acquisition Partner, you will take full ownership of recruitment across DeMellier, ensuring we attract exceptional talent and deliver a seamless, engaging experience at every stage. You’ll work closely with managers and department heads to refine hiring practices, elevate our employer brand, and support the continued growth of the business.

Alongside recruitment, you’ll step into strategic talent responsibilities - driving succession planning, building capability frameworks, and contributing to people initiatives that strengthen development, mobility, and retention. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited by the chance to influence both immediate hiring outcomes and long-term talent and broader people strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a high volume of roles across the business from briefing to offer and onboarding.
* Build and manage talent pipelines for future hiring needs across key business areas.
* Create engaging job descriptions and adverts that reflect DeMellier’s brand values.
* Conduct initial interviews, coordinate selection processes, and manage candidate communications throughout.
* Partner with hiring managers to ensure hiring decisions are timely, fair, and data-driven.
* Manage agency relationships where appropriate while driving a direct sourcing approach.

Employer Branding

* Collaborate with Marketing to enhance our employer brand presence across LinkedIn, careers pages, and industry networks.
* Champion DeMellier’s culture, values, and sustainability commitments in all talent communications.
* Utilise innovative recruitment trends, such as video storytelling and AI-enhanced sourcing to elevate candidate engagement and reduce bias.

Onboarding & Experience

* Lead offer negotiations and employment contracts creation.
* Ensure all onboarding processes deliver a seamless and engaging new joiner experience.
* Partner with People Partners and department leaders to continuously enhance onboarding processes and touchpoints.
* Contribute to the evolution of the broader People Experience strategy, ensuring talent remains central to transformation.

Talent Planning & Reporting

* Partner with the Head of People and leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop strategic workforce and hiring plans.
* Analyse recruitment metrics to provide insights on performance, diversity, and candidate experience.
* Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, bringing data-driven insight and challenge to all talent-related decisions.

Development & Retention

* Drive talent mapping and succession planning across critical roles.
* Build a skills-based organisation through capability assessment and skills intelligence.
* Partner with leaders and People Ops to identify and develop high-potential individuals with tailored growth and internal mobility opportunities.
* Collaborate with People Partners to ensure managers have the tools to lead, develop, and grow their teams effectively.
* Support performance and retention strategies that align with DeMellier’s purpose, culture, and values.
* Deliver training and coaching to managers on talent development and recruitment best practices while using insights to forecast risks and improve effectiveness.
* Lead and support people projects as required.

Experience & Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in end-to-end talent acquisition within a fast-paced fashion retail environment.
* Proven track record of managing a high volume of open roles across both head office and retail store functions.
* Experience hiring across key head office disciplines (Buying, Merchandising, Design, Production, E-commerce, Digital Marketing, etc.).
* Experience in succession planning and talent development.
* Confident in building relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted partner.
* Passion for employer branding and candidate experience.
* Strong understanding of recruitment systems (HiBob), social media sourcing, and market mapping.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
* Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a growing and evolving business environment.
