A Strong Opportunity for an Experienced Conveyancer
We are working with a well-regarded law firm looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer (5+ PQE) to join its busy and established property team in St Albans.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident fee earner seeking a role with autonomy, a consistent flow of quality work, and a supportive team environment.
The Role
You will manage a full and varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, including:
* Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
* Re-mortgages
* Transfers of equity
* Voluntary registrations
You will be responsible for the entire conveyancing process, including:
* Reviewing title, searches and enquiries
* Drafting and approving contracts and transfer documentation
* Handling exchanges and completions
* Managing post-completion matters, including SDLT and Land Registry submissions
This is a role offering a high degree of independence, suited to someone comfortable running files (ideally on LEAP case management system) with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent client service standards.
Caseload is purposefully manageable and would be around 40-50 matters at any one time. Fully automated IT system, this team has had no paper files for many years!

About You
This role would suit someone who:
* Is a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive
* Has 5+ years’ experience in residential conveyancing Is confident managing a full caseload independently
* Has strong technical knowledge across the conveyancing process Is organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities
* Has excellent communication and client care skills Is commercially aware and takes a practical, solutions-focused approach
Additional Experience (Beneficial but Not Essential)
* New build transactions
* Shared ownership or Help to Buy matters
* Lease extensions
* Experience mentoring junior staff
* Familiarity with case management systems such as LEAP
